Our Commitment
StyleSwipe is committed to making our platform accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.
Current Status
We continuously work to improve accessibility. Current features include: keyboard navigation throughout the app, screen reader compatible semantic HTML, sufficient colour contrast ratios, alt text on all product and wardrobe images, and focus indicators on interactive elements.
Swipe Interface
The swipe interface supports keyboard navigation using arrow keys (left to skip, right to like) as an alternative to touch or mouse gestures. Button alternatives are always available.
Known Limitations
We are aware of some areas that need improvement, particularly around complex drag interactions on the swipe screen for keyboard-only users. We are actively working on these.
Feedback
If you experience accessibility barriers on StyleSwipe, please contact us at accessibility@styleswipe.co.za. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
Enforcement
In South Africa, the Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act (PEPUDA) protects against discrimination on the basis of disability. We take our obligations under this Act seriously.
