Cookie Policy

Last updated: 1 January 2025

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, maintain sessions, and collect analytics data.

2. How We Use Cookies

StyleSwipe uses cookies for: session management (keeping you logged in), preference storage (your filter and sort settings), analytics (understanding how users interact with our app), and security (protecting against CSRF attacks).

3. Types of Cookies We Use

Essential cookies: required for authentication and security — these cannot be disabled. Analytics cookies: help us understand usage patterns using privacy-respecting tools. Preference cookies: remember your settings between sessions.

4. Third-Party Cookies

We use Supabase for authentication, which sets secure session cookies. If you sign in with Google, Google may set cookies subject to their own Privacy Policy. We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data.

5. Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in. Most browsers allow you to view, block, and delete cookies through the Settings or Preferences menu.

6. Cookie Retention

Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent preference cookies expire after 12 months. Authentication cookies expire after 7 days of inactivity.
